I was born and raised in Australia, spending a lot of my growing-up years in the outback, hence the setting for quite a few of my stories. The second eldest in a family of seven, I often struggled to find a measure of privacy. That's when I discovered the fascinating worlds contained within the books on my mother's bookshelf. Suddenly, I found I could go anywhere, do anything, be whatever I liked. I could dream big, knowing those dreams would be achieved within the pages of whatever book I was reading at that time.
A voracious reader, my first love has always been romance. I was constantly in trouble at school for hiding romance novels inside my text books when I should have been studying. That love of reading translated into a love of writing and now I can't imagine my life without my imaginary friends.
